Caribbean Sailing During Hurricane Season! âĩī¸âī¸đ¤ī¸ Sailing in the Caribbean during hurricane season means dealing with more frequent squalls compared to the dry season. The weather becomes inconsistent and even if the forecast looks good, you might encounter squalls on longer passages, with quite big waves in the acceleration zones between the islands. Pick the right weather window, these squalls are usually brief. Reef early and relaxâsunshine will return in a few minutes.
