It's even more rare we decide to run a bay boat 10 miles outside of the inlet, and stay out there for hours. And it's beyond rare that we'd do so on a day when it was blowing 15 knots and three to four foot swells were rolling through the ocean. Yet when we heard there was a hot bite going off we pointed the bow east, ran through the open sea, and fished out there long enough to catch a slew of cobia, bonito, and kingfish. Once in a while, you should leave the water and explore the mountains! When we sailed along the Costa del Sol, we saw the mountains on the coastline becoming higher and higher. The Sierra Nevada in the South Spain means 'snowy mountain range' in Spanish. From our catamaran we saw the snowy peaks in the distance. In the harbor of Almerimar we rented a car for a day and had an amazing trip through the Sierra Nevada. A lot of sunshine, little white villages and always a view on the water as well. After the Alps, this is the highest mountain range in Europe, with a total of 16 peaks above 3000 meters.

Excitement and anticipation were building in English Harbour, Antigua over the weekend as we counted down to Race Day 1 of the 2019 Oyster Antigua Regatta! Thirty Oyster Yachts have gathered in Antigua this year to enjoy exhilarating sailing and fabulous shoreside parties in one of the world's most outstanding sailing locations. The UNESCO world heritage site Nelson's Dockyard, English Harbour, is a fitting venue for a very special double celebration in true Oyster style. On Sunday 7th April, a welcome celebration was held marking the final chapter of the 2017-2019 Oyster World Rally. The second edition of the 27,000 mile circumnavigation came to conclusion, where it started in the spiritual Caribbean home of Oyster. Following the memorable occasion, the 42nd Oyster Regatta will take place from the 8th to the 12th of April.
