Castle Rock is a submerged seamount divesite in northern Komodo, usually dived in strong current, negative entry and known for having plenty of shark action….Whitetips, Blacktips and even Grey Reef sharks can be seen here along with schools of Trevally, Fusiliers and Surgeonfish.

We’re heading out at night to get to our next destination by morning. There is something magical about sailing at night. Retrospectiva da minha primeira grande Aventura. Uma viagem de motocicleta dentre Morrinhos, Estado de Goiás e Ushuaia, extremo sul da Argentina. A viagem de ida foi margeando o Oceano Atlântico e o retorno margeando a Cordilheira dos Andes. Outra playlist minha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE1xSofU3pg&t=177s Sinomar Godois Tavares é um aposentado que no dia 18/09/2024 completou 69 anos de idade e reside na cidade de Morrinhos, no Sul do Estado de Goiás. Separado, morando sozinho num pequeno barraco, com os filhos morando muito distante (dois no Canadá e a caçula em Paraty) já estava aceitando a vida sedentária. Fazia suas cainhadas diárias e dançava eventualmente. O restante do tempo era com leitura e televisão. Em 2022 foi visitar seus filhos no Canadá e seu filho mais velho tinha comprado um pequeno veleiro para navegar no lago de Montreal. Então, num passeio nessa pequena embarcação, meu filho iniciou um diálogo mais ou menos assim: - Veio! Você já foi um grande aventureiro por que não faz mais uma aventura? - Que aventura, cara! – respondi. - Vir de Veleiro do Brasil até o Canadá. Você precisa sair de casa. Precisa de objetivos de vida. - Você está louco? Não tenho dinheiro para comprar um veleiro! – respondeu o velho. - Você não tem uma Previdência Privada? - Sim. Tenho. Mas ela é para quando eu ficar velho. É para minha saúde – respondeu. - Mas você já não está velho? (e emitiu uma sonora gargalhada). Então você retira esse dinheiro e compra um veleiro. Comece a estudar, assistir vídeos e ler livros. Depois você vende o veleiro e repõe a grana. A sugestão do filho foi como um trauma mental para o pai. A partir desse dia aprender sobre velas tornou-se sua obsessão. Tudo na vida do velho foi relacionado à navegação. Começou a devorar livros e assistir todo tipo de vídeo no YouTube. No primeiro semestre de 2023 tirou a habilitação da Marinha para navegar em lagos (pré-requisito para as demais). No segundo semestre conseguiu a carteira de Mestre Amador e, finalmente, em abril de 2024, conseguiu a mais temida e difícil prova aplicada pela Marinha do Brasil: Capitão Amador. O material de estudo para essa prova foi enorme. Vários livros, apostilas, curso grátis no YouTube e sites pagos. Havia dias que o velho pensava que seria impossível passar na prova. Coisas estudadas era rapidamente esquecida pela memória sexagenária. A grana para compra do Veleiro estava resguardada. Era só esperar o momento oportuno. Entretanto, restavam, ainda duas questões muito importantes: arrumar uma companheira de viagem e equacionar os custos da viagem com sua pequena aposentadoria. A conclusão foi que a grana seria insuficiente, principalmente quando as despesas fossem em outra moeda. Para piorar, descobriu que chegando ao Canadá, seria muito difícil voltar no mesmo caminho, tendo em vista que existe uma corrente marítima contrária. O caminho de volta mais fácil teria que ser pela Europa e África. Ou seja, gastar em euros. O visto para entrada em cada ilha ou país corresponderá a um quarto da renda, sem contar comida, óleo diesel e manutenção no veleiro tudo em dólar ou Euro. Apesar dos estudos orçamentários indicar a inviabilidade do projeto, no dia 14/10/24 o idoso mudará para um veleiro adquirido na cidade de Salvador. O planejamento da viagem estima dois anos de vida ao mar, cujo planejamento pode ser verificado nos dois primeiros vídeos do canal “Veio Doido no Mar” no YouTube. Pretende navegar pela costa brasileira, passar pelas Ilhas do Caribe, passar pelo Canadá, Europa e África. Em torno de 18 meses viajando. Quanto à namorada, depois de convidar mais de 50 mulheres para o acompanhar na jornada, uma mulher da sua própria cidade aceitou. Mas, infelizmente, faltando 3 semanas embarcar, ela desistiu.
