Sailing 800 miles upwind to the Caribbean might have been our best passage ever! Normally right on the nose we had a light wind close reach/close hauled passage just before Christmas when we sailed from the Bahamas direct to St Martin. Now that my daughters are growing up and have their own plans nowadays, I am much more by myself and that takes some time to get used to. I knew this moment was coming, but experiencing it is something else. 😳 How do I deal with ‘Vita’ instead of mum...well, solo sailing, for instance! Exciting but completing from A-B-A on your own gives me such a positive boost. It feels like a victory and makes me stronger every time.☺️ How do you cope with change of life?❤️
