Regal 2860 Windows Express powered by twin Volvo D3 inboard diesel engines. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a pre-owned American sports cruiser with diesel engines, popular family cruiser that has only been used on fresh water with engine 80 hours use!! She has a spacious and sociable cockpit layout with a single helm bucket seat with flip-up front, the dash is very well designed, everything is located in an accessible position and in easy reach. Adjacent to the helm you have a large comfortable L'shaped with adjustable back rest, behind this is a fold away double seat and large removeable cockpit table, this will convert to make a sunbed. There is a useful wet-bar complete with a cool box and storage locker. Entry/Exit door to an extended bathing platform equipped with a hot and cold shower and stainless steel boarding ladder. Below decks you have a sliding door and flyscreen down some steps to a lovely airy and open plan layout with large forward dinette area that converts to a double at night, Well thoughtout galley unit in high gloss cherry and light corian work surface with ample storage, concealed microwave, sink, Elec/Alcohol Hob & fridge. The aft cabin is also very welcoming boasting a queen sized berth! Head compartment comes with a shower, vacu-flush toilet, wash basin and storage cupboards. This boat is in very good condition as she has only had light use and on fresh water. The boat has also had a Inverter fitted to support a new TV/DVD Flat screen TV and other electrical appliances. Lying in Chertsey if you would like to be shown her the boat in detail. Please contact the Bates Team on 01932 571141

And then there were 6 🫣 Here’s a little fly-by picture reel of our second fur-baby Smidge 🐾 Rescued by Laura from under a green wheelie-bin at a teeny 500g - almost died of gastroenteritis but came back from the brink and never left (much to Ross’s initial disapproval 😂). We’ve had her a little while now but until we were completely confident she was suited to boatlife we kinda kept it schtum 🤫. Turns out she won’t leave the boat even if the windows and hatch are wide open but she does love to hang out during a spot of yoga on deck… Ronnie took her under his furry paws like nothing you’ve ever seen and their love is something else! Who else has rescue kitties on board and would pick take all the strays home if they could? 👩🏼🧔🏽‍♀️👦🏼🧑🏼‍🦰🐈🐈‍⬛🦋⛵️❤️

Quick test of a tiny QEV cannon firing air at 12atm, viewed through a Schlieren setup (no razor blade). Unedited at normal speed. I didn't quite understood the need for a razor blade but without one I still see the flow of air. For me, the razor blade just makes the dot of light smaller(?) If anyone can clarify me what the razor blade really does and where it should be placed (in the source of light or in the camera) I'd really appreciate. Also important to note that this is AWESOME to look with the naked eye but almost the dimmest light can blind you. I covered a tiny LED torch with aluminum foil and punctured a hole with a sewing needle, on the side! so that the LED doesn't bright directly through the hole. Take care with the eyes!!

Day 9 of our Christmas calendar takes you into the first of two guest cabins aboard Vela! 🎄 This bunk bed cabin is perfect for accommodating one or two crew members. While it’s compact, it’s packed with smart storage: 👕 Two cabinets for clothing and personal items (we’re even upgrading one with shelves soon!). 📦 Under-bed storage: Currently home to ropes and sailing gear. 🔧 Under the floorboards: Housing our speed, depth, and sonar transducers—more on that in a future episode. The cabin might seem small but the bunks are wide, making them cozy for crew. And let’s be honest—when you’re out exploring hidden gems and stunning anchorages, no one spends much time indoors anyway! 🌊✨ What do you think of this cozy space? Let us know in the comments! 💬 🎥 See you tomorrow for the next part of our boat tour! 🎵 Music by Sergio Prosvirini from Pixabay #YouTubeShorts #Explore #TravelVlog #Vloggers #DailyLife #ChristmasCalendar #Vlogmas #ChristmasOnBoard #Beneteau44cc #Sailing #Liveaboard #LifeAtSea
