Vela was out of the water at 10:45, we started removing the leaky thru hull at 11:48, and by 13:40, the new thru hull was in place. Now, we’ve been waiting approx for 3 hours for the epoxy to cure so we can apply a couple of layers of primer! And tomorrow some antifouling 🎨 SUPER EFFICIENT! What do you think? In this #short video, I practice a new (for me) Solo Sailing Docking Technique. The dock line standing by is tied off to the winch. As I slowly motor my 32 foot sailboat into the slip, I loop the dock line around the dock cleat. Then wrap the line back around the winch and the forward momentum of the sailboat will pull you snuggly into the dock. EASY!
