The Anchor Hitch is a super secure knot which tightens on itself when load is applied. It is really simple to tie, all you need is two round turns. One over the top of the item you are securing your fender to and the second one on top of the first. The Anchor hitch will become really tight making it hard to undo after load has been applied, making it a great option if you want to lock your rope tight against a fixed object. With the first boat now in sight, the Race Directors Jeremy and Cam reflect on the senseless loss of the ORCV Race Control van as they setup a make shift race management desk in the cold. Thankfully the winds have continued to build with some reporting 30 knots at times and the first boat due in within the hour.
