We made a 7sqm screecher for our 14ft plywood Zeta trimaran and tried it today. As you can see from the mirror like surface there wasn't much wind! It was all a lash up, I have no cleats for mainsheet or screecher so had to handhold everything. But it sailed well and tacked easily. You can build your own Zeta trimaran from 7 sheets of ply in 150 hours. The boat weighs 73kgs, 160lbs, ex rig. We visited the incredible Merrivale Prehistoric Settlement on Dartmoor, near Tavistock (https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/merrivale-prehistoric-settlement/) This amazing, 4500 year old site has everything you could want - a standing stone causeway, 2 stone circles, a cist (stone tomb), and huge bronze age village! Its free to visit with a car park only a short walk away. An excellent family fay out - fans of Outlander would particularly love it! #shorts
