We sail out of the hove to position by centring the helm and allowing the wind, which was on our port side, to come around the stern of the boat, onto our starboard side. It was an exhilarating showdown for the opening race of the 2025 season in the Glen class on the stunning Strangford Lough! With the sun blazing and a perfect breeze sweeping across the bay, the fleet was tightly bunched just before the race began. Boats on Starboard Tack charged toward the pin end of the line, while over half the fleet on port tack raced headlong towards them, setting the stage for an electrifying start to the sailing season. In the end, two boats turned back after a second starting signal blared, revealing that some boats had crossed the line early. One crew was left wishing they hadn’t returned as they learned at the bar post-race that only one boat was actually over the line! Can you guess which boat it was? Wind gegen Strom auf der Elbe Höhe Bützfleter Hafen mit 6 Beaufort in Böhen 8 Bft 30 September. Auf den Video,: Fahrt gegen den Strom mit dem Wind von Achtern. Sehr kleine Fock mit ersten Reff. Davor von Abbenfleth bis Höhe Hollern Twielenfleth mit harten Amwindkurs mit dem Strom aber gegen die Welle gesegelt. Das war deutlich anspruchsvoller. Das ganze war bewusst gemacht um im Heimatrevier solche Bedingungen kennen zu lernen, aber mit vielen geschützten Bereichen in denen ich in kürzester Zeit Schutz suchen kann. 30.
