Part of doing an engine check before going out is to check the raw water strainer. Because the water is, well, raw. It is seawater that helps to cool the engine and move the exhaust out of the boat. Grass can show up in seawater, so can critters. We opened the strainer, and something popped out. I told Cindy, "Keep track of that spring!" Then the spring kept flopping around. WOW! Truckers would call the procedure a pre-trip. I never caught a fish while pre-tripping a truck.

A Humpback whale sings then breaches close enough for Nicole to feel the splash! Nicole filmed this while swimming in the open ocean near Moorea, French Polynesia (by Tahiti). Nothing to do with sailing but too good not to share with you right away... By the way, we were being guided by a whale expert who ensured we did not impact the whale in any way. Before this encounter we swam some distance away from a boat that was drifting with it's engine off, then allowed the whale to approach us (or not) on his own terms. Hoy te enseño a hacer el nudo llano. El nudo llano sirve para unir dos cabos de igual mena o diámetro. tiene el inconveniente de que azoca y puede que no se deshaga. Es un nudo de fácil ejecución. Sólo tendrás que dar una vuelta y pars que te salga bien, la segunda vuelta es al revés
