A quick intro to a relatively new feature, the carbon fiber steering wheel! We got a chance to see ours being built. Picking it up makes it feel like it is made from balsa wood. The weight of the assembly just about doubles when the stainless steel hub is added.

Al doblar la Punta Couso, que el la parte más septentrional de La Costa e la Vela, arribamos hasta dejar el viento 135 grados por la aleta de estribor. Luego de un par de trasluchadas, llegamos a nuestro destino: La Ría de Aldán. As a boat sits stationary, marine life quickly begins to grow on the hull. I hadn’t seen the hull below waterline until now. The boat will come out of the water in the spring so we can replace the zincs (sacrificial metal) and inspect the prop, bearings, and probably paint it.
