🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [27/52] 🪢 There’s so many horror stories out there with boats having to clean their diesel tanks in the worst imaginable situation after the engine stoped working at an even worse moment. We figured we play it safe and try to prevent it as much as we can after finding a piece of plastic that blocked the system causing our engine to stop outside of Anholt (just after we left Sweden). You can never be totally safe from diesel bugs, specially fueling up in remote places, but you can diminish the risks. Also make sure you protect yourself and the environment by avoiding spill! Only discharge of the residues in a designated place. RSHYR 2025 | Palm Beach XI sailed up the Derwent River just on sunset to take 5th place in Line Honours. A remarkable achievement given the little sailing time the crew had prior to the race and in light of abandoned fishing lines getting wrapped around their keel and dagger boards.

Buy a boat, they say. It’ll be fun, they say! 😂 Owning a boat sometimes feels like throwing your money into a hole in the ground but I wouldn’t wanna change this lifestyle ever! It’s true, you spend a lot and marine items are just automatically triple the price just because they’re marked “marine supplies”. 🤪🙈💸 But on the other hand you save a lot of money for not having to pay rent or for a car or other “luxury” items!
