Hand feeding Rick Wallabies 🥕🍎 • • • One if the biggest highlights of Magnetic Island was getting to hand feed Rock Wallabies. There's SO many Wallabies on Arcadia Point living in and around the giant boulders. They are super curious and friendly and come right up to you to take food right out of your hand. There are signs around for appropriate food to feed the Wallabies and what foods not to feed these awesome animals. Charlie had such a great time feeding all the Wallabies and giving them carrots and apples. This was my reaction to the first attempt at launching Freddie, after over a week of waiting past the day we were told we would be launched… We put our lives on hold to get her ready and to show up for this, not to mention getting our hopes way up that we would finally see her off land and back where she belongs, in the water… My heart was hurting and I felt frustrated… but tried to focus on positives.
