A lot of people didn’t think I could pull this off – and honestly, I did want to quit a few times..But the old one was ruined, professionals had a 2-year waitlist, and I figured… why spend the money when I might be able to do it myself?💰💰 To everyone who thought it couldn’t be done – well, it could 💁🏼♀️ Did I spend almost 4 months doing it? Yes, along other projects that needed attention. Is it perfect? Nope! It’s not perfect. Some seams are crooked (like so many other things on a boat), I’ve unpicked and resewn more times than I can count, and I even made a whole new sprayhood after the first one was a total disaster🔥 But now it’s finished. And it’s d4mn special.Stubbornness and support from good people really can take you far - so thanks to all who actually believe in the project.This cockpit enclosure is uniquely ours – and just the way it’s supposed to be! - 17 days, let’s go!!!

Partirà domani, giovedì 30 maggio alle 13.00 ora locale (20.00 UTC e 22.00 ora italiana), la prima edizione della CA 500, da San Francisco a San Diego! Siamo molto contenti di partecipare a questa regata, è un perfetto allenamento per la Transpac e un’ottima occasione per navigare contro i nostri concorrenti. Sarà per noi una regata sperimentale, non vediamo l’ora di provare le nuove configurazioni e gli ultimi assetti sia dei foil e dei timoni, sia del piano velico. Abbiamo intenzione di gareggiare con un atteggiamento nuovo: più orientati a massimizzare le performance di volo di Maserati Multi 70 e meno preoccupati di controllare cosa fanno i nostri avversari. Per le prime 12 ore di regata sono previsti 25 nodi di vento da NW, con raffiche fino a 30 nodi.
