ULTIM EMOTION 2 is one of the very few Ultim trimarans commercially available in the world. ULTIM EMOTION 2 is an Ultim Maxi 80 trimaran born from an extrapolation of the Orma 60 trimaran Sodebo skipped by Thomas Coville. 2 other trimarans have also been extrapolated from Orma 60 trimaran: Gitana XI & Tritium. Lionel Lemonchois who is a former Route du Rhum winner, has skipped ULTIM EMOTION 2 (ex - PRINCE DE BRETAGNE II) since her launching in 2012. She is a 24 m long trimaran with the weight of a 18 m long trimaran. Therefore, she is much more seaworthy especially for single handed races. She has the capacity to sail over 40 knots! ► A not-to-be-missed event for boating enthusiasts on the U.S. East Coast, the Annapolis Boat Shows attract some 100,000 visitors every year. The event is in fact two separate boat shows held in the same spot, but a week apart. The Powerboat Show, dedicated just to powerboats (417 units on display), was held from October 3 to 6, followed by the Sailboat Show from October 10 to 14. It’s the latter of the two that we’ve selected for you. The event provided an opportunity to take stock of how the multihull sector is taking hold in the United States: we counted 56 two- or three-hull units compared with 96 monohulls, totaling nearly 30% of the offer.
