The Royal Thames Yacht Club's 250th Anniversary was a spectacular affair. With over 250 boats from the latest carbon flyers to beautiful classics that were more than a century old, the four day regatta to celebrate one of the oldest clubs in the world had ticked many of the boxes even before the fleet had turned up. Don’t let their cute eyes fool you! The peacock mantis #shrimp has one of the most powerful punches in the animal kingdom. Its club-like appendages can strike with the speed of a bullet, reaching up to 23 metres per second (about 50 miles per hour). This punch is so forceful that it can break through the shells of #crabs, #clams, and even aquarium glass.
