For those interested in the Day Skipper Course, Sailing experience and basic boat handling knowledge is required. This 7-day course will help you and give you the tools to becoming a confident skipper. Included will be things like pilotage, boat handling, seamanship and navigation and that you can skipper or rent a yacht in familiar waters by day. Matt and Lisa make the tough decision to Sail away from Key West, in the aftermath of hurricane Ian. Key West experienced it’s fair share of death and destruction during the storm, and with another storm possibly following the same path in nine days, the crew decided to start their adventure two months earlier than planned. The five day sail up to mainland was filled with poor weather, big waves, and little sleep. Once they arrive in Fort Lauderdale, they quickly work to get the sailboat stocked with food, fuel, and anything else they will need for their international travels.
