Alle 16.30 UTC del quinto giorno di regata, il 15 gennaio, il Team di Maserati Multi 70 prosegue verso Sud Ovest verso l'alta pressione a 17 nodi, con 12 nodi di vento da Est-Nord-Est. LoveWater ha fatto anch'esso rotta verso Sud Ovest e naviga all'inseguimento del trimarano italiano, che si trova 35 miglia più avanti. "Siamo ancora in vantaggio", spiega Giovanni Soldini da bordo, "ma la situazione è molto complessa e il passaggio dell'alta pressione si aprirà con il vento da dietro, per cui mentre noi stiamo rallentando LoveWater continua ad andare piuttosto veloce. È come se ci trovassimo davanti a un cancello, che si aprirà quando LoveWater ci avrà raggiunto: ne usciremo probabilmente appaiati". We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard).
