In early November, the Amels and Damen team enjoyed a busy show, welcoming visitors on board GENE MACHINE, a 55-metre Amels 180 (180 ft) from our Limited Editions range, and AXIS, a 55-metre Damen Yacht Support vessel (181 ft). GENE MACHINE’s American owner kindly agreed to showcase the 55-metre Amels 180 (180 ft) as a fantastic example of our Limited Editions range. Although not for sale or charter, sharing unforgettable moments and relishing the free spirit of yachting has made GENE MACHINE one of the world’s best known superyachts. Her amazing crew turned on the charm with their infectious fun-loving energy and welcoming service. Follow their adventures on Instagram. A YS 5009 delivered in 2016, AXIS carries a Triton submarine, an Icon sport aircraft, tenders and all the toys with jetskis and sailboats. Her Captain and crew proved not only highly knowledgeable in all things under, on and above the water, but they also make a mean spare rib BBQ. Damen co-exhibited AXIS together with Ocean Independence.

Giorno 63 - l’arrivo a Cadice Cavolo si sente.. e pensare che è acqua! Acqua salata di qua e acqua salata di là… Eppure cambia! Sicuramente cambiano i ridossi, i fondali, le masse d’acqua che si spostano. Per esempio ci siamo accorti subito che un basso fondale non è solo una secca da aggirare, ma un generatore di onde! Avere la massa dell’oceano che si scontra su un fondale che sale crea onde nervose, secche. Come un ribollire arrabbiato. Tendenzialmente comunque è tutto più lento. Sali sali sali e sceeeendi. La velocità della barca è notevolmente superiore, altro fattore più incisivo è la corrente! Che meraviglia. E quanto da imparare🤩 L’arrivo a Cadice ci ha emozionati, lì ci aspetta tutto il nostro cuore, le nostre famiglie al completo! Il primo pezzo è andato, ora ci aspettano le lunghe navigazioni. Special attention has been given to interior design, Interior and exterior varnish and paint, changing fabrics, ceilings and light elements. Additional upgrades are new Electronics, new teak decks, Masts removed serviced and newly painted, new sails from UK sails, new upholstery, new water makers, upgrades of hydraulic system and much more. Practically, in the past 5 years every system of the yacht has been controlled, maintained and improved. She is now offered for sale from her second owner who is searching for a larger Motorsailer.
