Croatia's calm turquoise waters and countless hidden coves are an invitation to slow down, soak up the sun, and truly disconnect. The Soundtrack of Serenity Our days are filled with the simple pleasures. The morning starts with the gentle clinking of mugs as we brew coffee on deck, the aroma swirling with the sea air. The only deadlines are those dictated by the sun, prompting us to shift our position for optimal tanning (important business, you know!). As the day progresses, the soundtrack is a beautiful symphony of nature: the rhythmic whoosh of the sails, the occasional playful plop of a dolphin breaching the surface, and the calming lull of the waves. Island Hopping Bliss Our itinerary is delightfully loose. We spend mornings exploring quaint villages nestled on islands like Hvar and Vis, their stone houses cascading down to the water's edge. Afternoons are for dropping anchor in secluded coves, hidden like precious gems along the coastline. The crystal-clear water beckons us in for swims that feel like diving into an aquarium. We snorkel over vibrant coral reefs teeming with life, or simply float on our backs, gazing up at the endless blue canvas. Culinary Delights Await Evenings are a celebration of fresh, local flavors. We pull into charming harbor towns and savor delicious seafood dishes at water's edge tavernas. Laughter mingles with the clinking of glasses as we toast to another unforgettable day in paradise. Sunsets that Steal the Show As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in fiery hues of orange and pink, a sense of tranquility washes over us. We gather on deck, sharing stories and dreams under a canopy of stars that seem impossibly close. Sailing in Croatia isn't just about the destination, it's about the journey. This is a short video with an impression of the workshop that I gave on the 'ATD International Conference and Expo' at 22. Mai 2023 in San Diego. ATD is the American Association for Trainers, the largest worldwide with 300.000 members. For 80 years now, they organize every year a 4 day conference in a city in the USA. I've been a speaker 3 times before and now is the 4th time. The topic that I presented was about Online Training, because I am a 100% online trainer now at the catamaran. I shared my 10 best tips on keeping the participants attention when you are an online trainer: https://atdconference.td.org/speakers/laura-van-den-ouden The tips come from the Dutch bestseller that I wrote in 2020 which is called '100 Online werkvormen': https://experttrainers.nl/100-online-werkvormen-e-book/. This E-book is also translated in English, titled '100 online working methods for online training'. The training was a success! There was room for 130 participants and about 300 people showed up, so extra chairs were ordered, or people had to sit on the ground or lean against the walls :). I used a bingo card and 10 online tips, also telling about the fact that I train on a catamaran. It was a practical session, it was nice that the session was appreciated by other international trainers!

La notte arriva il temporale. Era previsto d’altronde! Noi controlliamo l’ormeggio, controlliamo gli oblò e poi ci rimettiamo a letto, ma concerto privato di pioggia, cigolii e strattoni ci delizia fino alle 5 circa. Poi ci alziamo e partiamo. La navigazione in Croazia è qualcosa di magico. Adesso mi ricordo perché è così gettonata dai charter 😄 Mare piatto (al sicuro tra le isole) e destinazioni vicine la rendono molto appetibile per le vacanze in barca. Ogni tanto passa un traghetto che mi ricorda cosa siano le onde e in un attimo siamo di nuovo in oceano (😍). La Croazia è stupenda, è vero, ma io nel cuore porto l’oceano Atlantico. 💙 Eh si, ragazzi, va così! Momento nostalgia. Raggiungiamo Brgulje nel pomeriggio e concludiamo la giornata immersi in un silenzio surreale. Al tramonto Andrea delizia me e tutti i partecipanti a una diretta improvvisata con la sua musica al pianoforte. 🎹 Bello da emozionare! Noi nel frattempo, ci aggiorniamo domani.
