Corti Creare

Days shaped by the sea. Dives that start at first light and end with the sun sinking behind the horizon. Quiet moments on deck, salt in the air, nowhere else to be. Diving with The Junk Liveaboards isn’t about ticking sites off a list. It’s about slowing down, diving well, and sharing the ocean with a small group who gets it. If this feels like your kind of diving, you're already one of us 🥰 Come and join the adventures - https://thejunk.com/

Power catamarans have twin engines. That makes them much safer than a conventional single engined powerboat. It also makes them very manouverable. Here I am turning our Skoota 28 in circles without using the steering wheel. You can see the engines are in line, turning is achieved by putting one engine in reverse, the other in forward gear I'm not very good at it yet! In part because the engine thrust in forward is much greater than in reverse, (because the exhaust goes through the propeller), so the throttle in forward needs a delicate touch You can build your own Skoota 28 in plywood from plans by Woods Designs, see more at www.sailingcatamarans.com

I am delighted to report that tomorrow at 16:00 CET I shall be a co-presenter in Lürssen's first ever "Lürssen Live" Show. An opportunity for yachting enthusiasts to ask questions of Peter Lürssen himself and find out why he is interested in building smaller...not larger...yachts! 💥 Sub for more! https://www.youtube.com/lyfeuntethered?sub_confirmation=1 The pressure on the Titan Sub as it approached the Titanic was unimaginable. And it really wasn't build for this. Carbon fiber. Um, no. Mistake. Deadly one. This simuation give you an idea of how the implosion went down, but in reality, it was unimaginably faster than this. At least the crew never saw it coming and felt nothing. So sad. https://youtube.com/shorts/lGkRFEXDl4c #titanic #titan #sub
