► Full test in Multihulls World Secial Issue Forever Green N°22: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/catamaran/greencat-52-energy-transition-a-la-carte ► Based in La Rochelle on France’s Atlantic coast, the Chantiers de l'Arsenal shipyard is best known for its “Day 1” range of day-charter catamarans, of which some 15 units in sizes from 60 to 90 feet have already been sold worldwide. The manufacturer is also taking an interest in electrically powered workboat catamarans but has also just launched its first recreational multihull. This catamaran, christened the Greencat 52, was delivered to a private owner planning on setting off on a round-the-world cruise. An eco-responsible approach accompanies the entire project - no molds thanks to One Shape® technology, use of a sandwich with recycled PET foam and, of course, installation of two electric motors (Transfluid). The approach is reminiscent of Windelo's, but the deck plan reveals a much more covering coachroof to limit the greenhouse effect in the nacelle, and above all, twin helm stations aft - rather than one maneuvering/helm station forward. ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: Chantiers de l'Arsenal Architect: Philippe Renaudeau Length: 51’8” (15.75 m) Beam: 24’1” (7.34 m) Draft: 4’7” (1.4 m) Light displacement: 30,900 lbs (14 t) Laden displacement: 38,800 lbs (17.6 t) Sail area: 1,570 sq ft (146 m²) Drivetrain: 2 x 25 kW electric motors) Water capacity: 105 US gal (400 l) CE Certification: A10 ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! Available for delivery this November, this exquisite Ferretti Yachts 780 HT is truly a nautical work of art. The newly designed interior now offers the option of either a classic or a contemporary design following the footsteps of the yacht’s most recent predecessor in the Ferretti Yachts 500 and the Ferretti Yachts 1000. On the stern, with the large beach club, the new rear-facing large sun pads transform from the two doors on the yacht’s garage to help create a luxurious area to relax on the water’s edge. The interior still has 4 cabins, a full-beam, mid-ship owner’s suite, a forward VIP cabin, and two more guest cabins all with their own heads. For the Asian market, there will be an option to change the owner’s cabin to a large entertainment room while moving the galley to the lower deck to create a larger open bar area with the existing salon. In the standard version, the salon now features 3 options with the standard layout featuring a closed bar area from the dining area, a powered glass partition separating the bar area from the dining space, or a completely open concept for the North American market. The Ferretti Yachts 780 also has crew quarters aft with a cabin for the captain and one for the crew each with two beds and a personal bathroom. The captain’s cabin is replaced with a large storage area in the standard layout. Available through Executive Yacht 1-888-237-1647
