One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today lunchtime news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. This 2018 model Quicksilver Activ 555 Cabin is the perfect day boat, featuring a social cockpit layout and a cuddy cabin for overnight stays. It is equipped with a Mariner F60 outboard engine with 81 hours registered on the last service in July 2022, with very little use since. The boat has had two owners from new and has only been used on the River Thames. Antifoul was last done in July 2022. A River Thames boat licence is in place until 2025.
