Finding wood rot on your timber boat is never a good thing, and I have found out quite a big section of my deck is rotten, and by rotten i mean rotten badly, turning into mush, sloppy timber soup when you try to pull it up. It needs to go as soon as possible before it spread even more. I was a bit hesitant at the start, pulling up all of the deck, the area got bigger an bigger, but in the end it all needs replacing so give me the hammer and let tear it all up! The local fishermen ran out of fuel and couldn’t get back to shore. It by rowing. After a long night of fishing, they were tired. We gave them fuel and they gifted us fish! They were so kind and very grateful. We love these kinds of interactions with the locals!
