Riferito ad imbarcazioni da diporto indica normalmente, ma non obbligatoriamente, il proprietario. Infatti se il proprietario affitta ad un terzo l'imbarcazione, tale terza parte in veste di armatore sarà gestore e responsabile in toto dell'imbarcazione stessa. In tal caso si stipula una "dichiarazione di armamento". banchina: (s.f.)
