The Figure 8 is one of the greatest knots of all. This is the figure 8 stoppper knot, used to prevent line from slipping through grommets, pulleys and the like. It's used in sailing, boating, climbing and ton of other applications. This is also the first part of a proper figure 8 knot for climbing. While not the most practical way to tie this knot, it looks kinda cool. I was setting up for a nice time lapse of the sky and i forgot to put the new battery in so this was cut short but just as it was you can see a nice trail appear in the sky from a plane, just luck but nice none the less :D
