I'm curious to know if this is the average population density of crown of thorns sea stars for this area of Baja California. I went down a little rabbit hole about their biology, behavior, and ways we can support the coral reef ecosystem. That being said, what I witnessed while scuba diving in La Paz is nothing compared to the imagery I found of these sea stars taking over coral reefs in Australia.
