Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Longer version at katamarans.com/bowline-on-a-bight/ 🔸 The Bowline on the Bight is a double-loop variation of the bowline. Tie it in the centre of a line when you need a loop and you can't easily get to either end. 🔸 It makes a good hoist if you have to lower or raise someone, with one loop the seat and the other under the armpits and around the chest. The loops should not slip and it shouldn't jam after strain. 🔸 With a doubled up rope, make a small overhand loop as you would in a Bowline.
