The first day of racing at SLYC for the 2024 season did not have a lot of wind but did create some great images as the fleet search for the horizon which was not there. The local fishermen ran out of fuel and couldn’t get back to shore. It by rowing. After a long night of fishing, they were tired. We gave them fuel and they gifted us fish! They were so kind and very grateful. We love these kinds of interactions with the locals!
