Nosso veleiro foi comprado de um italiano que chegou navegando em solitário no Ushuaia, última cidade do continente americano antes da Antártida. É um Beneteou Oceanis 36 pés Classe A, a classificação mais alta que pode ter um veleiro pra sua capacidade de navegação em condições adversas, suporta ventos, fator 8, isso quer dizer que suporta ventos constantes acima de 40 nós e ondas de 8 metros. É um veleiro oceânico com autonomia e bem equipado para qualquer tipo de travessia. Como teste antes de ir pro Brasil, meu marido navegou por Cabo de Hornos, Fiordos Chilenos e Passos Lemberg, as éguas mais perigosas do mundo. Nos conhecemos em Santa Catarina, onde eu estava de férias. Desde então, estamos navegando pelo mundo.
