Hey guys, I think knowing your knots is a very important part of boat life since you gotta use knots every single day - but I do know a surprisingly big number of sailors who are more the “if you don’t know how to knot, knot a lot” type! 🤪😂 I definitely always make sure to tie off my dinghy properly- you don’t wanna come back to where you “parked” your dinghy, just to find an empty spot - happens more often to sailors than you’d think. 🤣😜 But KNOT on my watch! These videos follow the journey from tree felling, to lumber milling, to lofting, to the lead keel pour and now sailing the boat—sharing details of the woodworking, carpentry, metal smithing, tool building, and tool maintenance that traditional wooden boats command. This ultimate DIY project continues beyond the boat shop, as Steve and crew travel and learn to cruise aboard the handmade wooden boat that they've built.
