The middle of the fleet now nears Olympia while the back half starts their day after an evening on Blake Island. This is Pink Beach, Komodo! This exceptional beach gets its striking colour from microscopic animals called Foraminifera, which produces a red pigment on the coral reefs. This is why it’s called Red Beach (Pantai Merah) in the local tongue.
