Day 11 of our Christmas calendar brings you into the forward head, a clever little space where you have everything you need. A rule of thumb on board a boat is that everything should have at least two functions. The faucet is a great example of that! 🌟 You use it for washing your hands, just like at home, but this one also turns into your shower head! The main difference from the aft head? Here, the shower and sink are combined, making the most of the limited space. After your shower, you will pump out the water using the switch and then the pump will turn on and pump it out to the sea 🌊 What do you think? Could you manage in a head like this on board? This week it seems Chrome has disabled auto use of Flash Player (a piece of software that allows games to work in the CLIA Learning Academy). We have a video of the steps you need to do (less than a minute) to get your computer to allow it to do it's magic, and progress through the courses. In the meantime, we will be working on a longer term solution to ensure your learning time is also fun time!

As part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, Holland America Line's flag ship Rotterdam retraced her steps and made an Eastbound transatlantic crossing 150 years to the day after the historic first voyage. After leaving New York the first port of call was our home town of Plymouth in South West England. We went along to see the amazing welcome given to guests by the Cruise Plymouth volunteers as well as taking a look of this stunning ship moored off Plymouth's historic shore line.
