In the last weeks, our team put six bilge stringers to add strength and stiffness to the hull. For each one, we follow the same procedure: The first step is to create a template and transfer it to the carefully selected piece of oak, which we shape into form with circular saws, planers and sanders. Then our team uses a mix of linseed oil, tar and chalk to seal the gaps between the bilge stringer and frames. A bordo de un velero todo se puede complicar. Pero este no ha sido el caso. En el Lยดetap, un Etap 22 que pertenece a Juan todo ha salido a la primera. Hemos cambiado estay, backestay, obenques altos, obenques bajos, escotas de Mayor y Gรฉnova, drizas y hasta el gallo del backestay. La verdad es que me ha gustado mucho este barco. Dentro de su eslora, tiene un aparejo muy equilibrado y unos interiores muy acomodados. La verdad, que el palo se pueda bajar basculando, es una gozada.
