One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today lunchtime news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. SEA TURTLES CAUGHT IN GHOST NET #indianocean #sailing #shorts #nature #ocean Sailing across the Indian Ocean our sailing family came across two Hawksbill sea turtles trapped in ghost netting, floating in the ocean, close to death. We set to work removing the fishing net that had entangled them, cutting into their skin and their shells. We were just in the right place at the right time to free these beautiful creatures and give them back their freedom.
