Yesterday's south wind helped us sail away from the pier, but today's north winds are pushing us back. We discuss our ongoing marina struggles and the impact of lazy lines on our boating experience. #MarinaLife #SailingChallenges #BoatDynamics #WindWeather #SailingTips #MarinaAdventures #BoatingCommunity #SeaLife #SailingJourney #WeatherEffects
I get asked this question all the time. What does it mean when a boat is being advertised as, "Not for Sale to US Citizens while in US Waters?" It simply means that the boat has not been imported into the United States. There are three things that can happen to make it legally purchase a boat that is not US Duty Paid. 1) The seller can pay the duty and import it into the United States 2) The seller can move the boat into a Duty Free Zone, and the closing can occur there 3) The seller can move the vessel outside of the stream of commerce, and into a foreign country. If you have any questions on buying/selling a catamaran please don't hesitate to keep them coming. Wiley Sharp Wiley@CatamaranCentral.com www.CatamaranCentral.com

Dear Salty Sailor, Fresh water is one of the most precious resources we carry on our sailboat, and access to it can be critical in remote locations. We decided to install a water maker to ‘produce’ our own fresh water, and we couldn’t be happier. Of course, it gave us some challenges (what part of the boat doesn’t, right? xD), but overall, it’s been a huge win. You can check out the entire installation process on our channel. Stay Salty, Greta and Michael on Fortuna
