Today he shows us around Taipan, the 18 foot skiff designed and raced by Bob Miller. Miller, who was later known as Ben Lexcen, used many of the design principles seen in Taipan on the successful Australia II. I've been sailing since I was a teenager, starting with dinghies, though I took a long break from sailing altogether. Now, aboard a 40-foot boat, I've realized the importance of staying fit as I navigate this less nimble vessel. Sailing a bigger boat comes with greater challenges, where a knockdown can have much more serious consequences. But it`s never too late to learn! and I am learning a lot!
