We are proud to unveil the new Southern Wind Brand Identity. It's more than a logo, it’s a statement of who we are and what we stand for. It embodies "The Perfect Balance": performance with comfort, lightness with dependability, and innovation with moderation. A visual synthesis of our identity: a close-knit community of passionate sailors who embrace the sea with authenticity and care. Every line, every detail reflects our heritage while looking forward with fresh energy. Because a Southern Wind is never just a yacht: it’s a tailored experience, the joy of sailing, your perfect balance.
In this video I show how to tie the rolling hitch, which is also called stopper hitch. We use the rolling hitch for example if we want to attach a line to another line that is tensed. For example when several boats are supposed to be towed with one single line. It is possible to shift the knot on the line in one direction and to the other direction it stops. Sometimes when you raise the sails, the battens get hung up on the lazy jacks. Sometimes they free themselves, sometimes, and you can drop the sail and try again. But sometimes, they have to be wiggled free manually, which is what Brent just did. Once they are free and clear of the lazy jack lines, we raise the sail again and the wind is now carrying our floating home to another island! Want the full adventure? Check out our full length video!
