In December I crossed the Atlantic from the Canary Islands to Barbados on a friends Lagoon 380. For the first 2000 miles or so we had calms or very light winds and so fellow crew member Erick could fly his drone. After a while you don't notice the swells when on board, it's just a gentle rocking motion. Even when the wind picked up there were none of the "mountainous seas" beloved by the media! SEA TURTLES CAUGHT IN GHOST NET #indianocean #sailing #shorts #nature #ocean Sailing across the Indian Ocean our sailing family came across two Hawksbill sea turtles trapped in ghost netting, floating in the ocean, close to death. We set to work removing the fishing net that had entangled them, cutting into their skin and their shells. We were just in the right place at the right time to free these beautiful creatures and give them back their freedom.
