Armed with a hammer and chisel, I take on a temporary fix made of Z-Spar Splash Zone epoxy, 3M 5200 marine adhesive, a rubber gasket, and an aluminum backing plate. They will hold strong. Obviously they will surface rust, but still better than the plastic clips that will become brittle. Once they are not in service (after years) they can be recycled.
