There comes a time in every cruiser's life where they will eventually face the need to replace their cutlass bearings. We've dropped our rudders, taken the props off (BYE BYE!), and the shafts out. The shafts are really important not to damage, scratch or knick in way away so both shafts have been cradled like precious babies and stored in a safe, secure area on cushioning. Once all of that was done, it was time to get the Cutlass Bearings out. It was the first time diving skills didn't come easy to me. Looking back, I should've stopped after the sidemount course and gotten comfortable in the configuration by fun diving before moving on to the technical courses. My hope in sharing this is to help others feel empowered to slow down their training goals. I truly believe it will help you in the long run.
