A high-performance full carbon foil package designed for strong wind racing. The mast is produced using T700 carbon fiber composites making it stiff, durable and very light. The fuselage has a slightly larger diameter to further maintain the stiffness and reduce flex between the parts. Anhedral 720 cm2 front wing shape minimizes cavitation for a more predictable and comfortable flight. The profile is optimized for slalom speed in top-flight foil racing. Tail wing angle can be adjusted on the beach or even in the water, which is critical to race performance. No spacers are needed. Slalom 720 foil components are assembled with 8mm countersunk hex-head stainless screws. All are super strong and resist both mechanical damage and corrosion. All Loftsails foil sets can be customized with a wide range of interchangeable front wings, fuselages, tail wings and foil masts for a tailored, fine-tuned experience. J109 Going to Red hit the front early in the Portaferry Regatta 2025. Big Sails win big races and fortune favoured the brave with the Redline Racing Team making the big call to set the A2 at the start and blast downwind to enter the lough at over 15 knots over the ground. With the sun shinning both on the bay and the crew it made a great spectacle for the passengers on the Strangford Ferry. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying the short bits from the 2025 racing season.

The fifth unit of the celebrated SW96 smart custom project is now underway at the South African shipyard. The bulkheads are finally set in place: they are full carbon infused epoxy structures with a corecell core thus weighting less than 1tons, so they can offer high sound insulation levels with no compromise on stiffness, performance, and volume. Confirming the shipyard’s ability to realize an owner’s wishes, Southern Wind is set to deliver yet another carbon fibre performance yacht. Much more is to come: stay tuned!
