After a 22 year absence the Admiral's Cup is back as Cowes played host to the return of the self proclaimed World Cup of offshore sailing. Starting with the offshore Channel Race and running into three days of inshore races in the Solent, the return of this famous team event was a huge success before it's even been won. Matt Sheahan reports from Cowes at the heart of the event where he watched the racing blow by blow and talked to some of the big players.

Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Whitsunday Escape has a new boat, a Leopard 44, and one of the brilliant features on it that make boating easy, is the automatic raising and lowering of the dinghy. The dinghy is slipped into davits at the back of the boat, and all you have to do is press a button to either raise it out of the water, or put it in the water. Simple!

Every year, we hold an annual event know and the Rendezvous where sailors in our community can gather, sail and have a great time together in the Bahamas. This year, we again had a variety of different brands of catamarans like Lagoon, Bali, Leopard, Catana, Outremer, Fountaine Pajot Lightwave, Voyage and others, totaling 27 catamarans. It is a nice cross section of brands and owners who no doubt enjoy meting each other and touring each others boats, catching some tips and ideas from each other.
