Any #yacht featured in the superb pre-Second World War series of ‘Uffa Fox books’ is without question a special one, and DRIAC may be best known these days from her inclusion in Fox’s ‘Sailing, Seamanship and Yacht Construction’ (1934). From a time when the design of the ideal offshore #sailing #cruiser was still evolving and much discussed, Uffa waxed lyrical about this characterful Charles E. Nicholson design which had comfortably reeled off well over 5000 miles in her first two seasons, including Portsmouth to Malta and back, under the command of her redoubtable first owner, A.G.H. Macpherson. We witnessed a newly married couple coming out of church around 20:00 in the town of Šibenik in Croatia on a Friday night. They danced together to beautiful traditional music. Family and friends stood around them clapping. The tamburica (a string instrument) and folklore dances are popular at weddings. It was fun to experience this exuberant wedding celebration. I think that in the Netherlands you don't see someone waving a Dutch flag and the bride making a cool cheering gesture at the end.

This channel will be about spearfishing in different locations around the world but so far everything from Mexico, Belize, Nicaragua, Panama, Jamaica and Colombia have been visited. I have extensively visited Australia's Great Barrier Reef but will go back and do more filming and show it on this channel too. The channel will show my strategy in catching fish in different places and in different circumstances. For example in this episode, can you get decent fish in the shallows.....absolutely! Some of the biggest fish that I have seen have been in shallow water. Fish are there, whether deep or shallow, you just have to know how to get up on them. Enjoy!
