Take a look inside North Sails’ brand new UK sail loft, which opened its doors today. The loft is based in Gosport, on the southern coast of the UK, and will house a number of global departments under one roof. These include Superyacht finishing andsail production for One Design and North Sails 3Di. Set to be North Sails’ European flagship facility, the loft will enable North Sails to remain at the forefront of sail technology, innovation and manufacturing. Gosport is the first loft in the world to specialize in superyacht sails, and it’s gigantic raised floor – measuring 1,950m2 – is the largest ever built. A team of 9 designers and 82 staff members are aided by state-of-the-art technology and equipment, ensuring sails are delivered quickly, and safely – with no compromises in quality. The space is split into two manufacturing bays, and the main floor is designed to cater to superyacht sail finishing. Measuring 101x30m, the space can accommodate two J-Class headsails and a mainsail laid out simultaneously. The secondary bay is dedicated to One Design sailmaking and Certified Service sail care. North Sails’ Gosport loft will be opened by North Sails Group President, Ken Read, as well as European COO John Welch, and Peter Dubens – Managing Partner of Oakley Capital and Chairman of North Technology Group. Entriamo nella Fase 2 con molta voglia di ricominciare pari al timore di dover ricominciare tutto da capo. Oggi in Lombardia era una giornata splendida, una di quelle giornate in cui sembra che il virus sia soltanto un brutto sogno, finché il suono di un'ambulanza ci riporta alla realtà. I fiori nel nostro piccolo giardino raccontano di speranza e voglia di di andare avanti. Sta a noi non rovinare tutto quello che siamo riusciti a fare finora. Le norme ci sono, ma quella più importante è il nostro buon senso. Usandolo, siamo sicuri che torneremo presto a navigare con voi. La nostra Blue Magic ci aspetta in Sardegna. Non facciamola aspettare troppo. Le vacanze in barca a vela sulla nostra Blue Magic secondo i nostri ospiti: più che recensioni hanno espresso davvero emozioni, poesie, qualcuno ci ha fatto un vero e proprio spot :).
