At Rustler we won’t adopt new technology unless we’re sure it’s right for you. Rustler Yachts builds true round-the-world cruising yachts. They are designed to be safe, reliable and beautiful. Many of our owners will sail cross oceans to remote destinations. It’s here, where you entrust your life in the reliability of your yacht. Without internet or home delivery, you have to be self-reliant. For this reason, we usually fit a simple and robust electrical system into our offshore cruisers. A system that can be owner-maintained and repaired easily – anywhere in the world – with nothing more than a screwdriver. Our new R41 Motor Yacht, however, may only be hours from assistance, not weeks. Even so, we wanted to ensure you can rely on the technology on board. We understand the comforts and information motor yacht owners need and have come to expect. We have sought out the most reliable solution to offer these. We didn’t want to use a system that needed a computer and the internet to be repaired by a separate company. And we don’t want a small electrical component to ruin your time on board. We chose the Mastervolt CZone digital control and monitoring network as standard for our R41. In true Rustler fashion, it offers owners a way of manually overriding the network by moving a fuse. We have learnt and designed our system from the ground up, so we are on hand to help. Here's Simon, our head of engineering to explain more. Week 3 of the season ending Frosties Regatta at Strangford Lough Yacht Club was very different to the first 2 weeks. The crews were greated with with 8 to 12 knots of breeze from the West which would eventually fade before doing a 180 degree flip as it died out to 4 to 5 knots from the East. The J109 Going To Red and the A35 Le Bascular continued there matching racing series to see who would take the title of Frosties Champion 2023. The team on J109 GTR broke to the right of the course at the start which turned out to be the wrong decision as the Island end of the line was favoured. The A35 was leading at the first mark after a couple of close crosses but the J109 got a better set while to leeward which allowed them to push the A35 up to windward which caused them to momentarily round up letting the J109 jump out in front and gybe on the inside. The A35 came back in the second half of the run to lead at the bottom mark before stretching out their lead on the last beat. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you liked this video and it encourages you to want watch more.
