The fifth unit of the celebrated SW96 smart custom project is now underway at the South African shipyard. The bulkheads are finally set in place: they are full carbon infused epoxy structures with a corecell core thus weighting less than 1tons, so they can offer high sound insulation levels with no compromise on stiffness, performance, and volume. Confirming the shipyard’s ability to realize an owner’s wishes, Southern Wind is set to deliver yet another carbon fibre performance yacht. Much more is to come: stay tuned!

Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Außerdem müssen wir noch lernen richtig zu segeln. Du kannst dich also schon auf die nächsten Videos freuen! The so-called Lazy River is about 7nm from George Town. We visited this special spot twice. The second time, we essentially had the entire beach to ourselves for most of the day. It's very pretty and, IMHO, a must visit if you make it down to George Town and the Moriah Harbor National Park.
