Llamaremos virar a la acción de variar el lado de entrada del viento maniobrando velas y timón hasta cambiarlo de banda. Se llama virar por avante cuando orzamos con el timón hasta pasar el viento por la proa, también podemos virar en redondo (trasluchar) cuando cambiamos el viento arribando hasta pasarlo por la popa. Es una maniobra que, llevada a cabo en equipo, con suavidad, seguridad y precisión, consigues cambiar de rumbo y hacer que el barco no se pare. Hi!👋🏻 We're Ed & Paige. We met in 2011, and since then have grown together as a couple through our love of travel, sailing, and finding ourselves on some pretty epic (sometimes questionable) adventures. In 2014 Ed completed an 18 month circumnavigation with his father (I got to tag along for most of the Pacific🙌🏻). Following his return we knew we would do whatever it took to get back on the water, this time in our own boat, together. After nearly 5 years of planning, saving, and questioning our sanity, we quit our jobs in 2019 and sold most of our non-essential/non-heartfelt belongings.
