In this video I show how to tie the rolling hitch, which is also called stopper hitch. We use the rolling hitch for example if we want to attach a line to another line that is tensed. For example when several boats are supposed to be towed with one single line. It is possible to shift the knot on the line in one direction and to the other direction it stops. When we sailed the Costa Brava in the northeast part of Spain, we enjoyed especially the bay of Begur, the village of Fornells and an area called Aiguablava. It has beautiful cliffs and little beaches. On the internet it said it’s a favorite among locals in Spain and it was weekend, so we saw a lot of families walking around or sitting on the beach. The background sounds that you hear on the boat during the day, of children playing and running around on the beach, adults talking and laughing and the smells of BBQ coming your way, gives a real holiday feeling!
