It was an exhilarating showdown for the opening race of the 2025 season in the Glen class on the stunning Strangford Lough! With the sun blazing and a perfect breeze sweeping across the bay, the fleet was tightly bunched just before the race began. Boats on Starboard Tack charged toward the pin end of the line, while over half the fleet on port tack raced headlong towards them, setting the stage for an electrifying start to the sailing season. In the end, two boats turned back after a second starting signal blared, revealing that some boats had crossed the line early. One crew was left wishing they hadn’t returned as they learned at the bar post-race that only one boat was actually over the line! Can you guess which boat it was? We were sailing out liveaboard sailboat/raceboat up the coast, and almost home under the golden gate bridge. Just 15 miles form the gate, we noticed a problem: the engine temp alarm, and no input to the RPM gauge/tacometer. A telltale sign that the engine belt is broken! We rolled around with no wind and no engine, tools flying across the room, and no steerage. We were able to get a new belt on eventually, and most importantly, we got back to the dock just in time to get burritos at our favorite burrito place!

Part 1 - We were preparing to leave for Koh Lipe on a friend's sailboat when this happened. The engine wasn't starting so the owner decided to check the fuel injectors as he suspected there maybe water in them. Upon opening the second injector, water came shooting out! Why and how?
